Spend Valentine’s Day at Home with your Special Someone

Valentine’s Day is nearly here and that means date night with the one you love. The usual flowers, chocolates and getting all dressed up for dinner is great, but why not try something new this year.

Instead of fighting the crowds and arranging reservations, try enjoying a fabulous night with your special someone from the comfort of your own home.

When you plan to have date night at home, you can’t make it like any other night. Instead, get creative and make the night special for you and your significant other. The idea is to do something you wouldn’t normally do every other day and, if you need help coming up with some great ideas, then soak up the suggestions in this article.

Fun and easy at-home Valentine’s Day date ideas:

1. Breakfast in Bed
Start the day by cuddling up under your bed sheets and enjoy a delicious breakfast just for the two of you. A relaxing morning that includes someone you love, a comfy bed and a hot meal, makes for the perfect way to start your day.

2. Cook Together
Wine and dine each other by cooking up a fabulous dinner together. You could even take it a step further by making something neither of you have ever cooked before. You’ll have fun in the kitchen and learn to make something new.

3. Movie Marathon
For all those movie-loving couples out there, this suggestion becomes a fun way to spend the day together. Stay in your pajamas, wrap up in a cozy blanket and get ready to enjoy all of your Hollywood favorites. Oh, and don’t forget the popcorn!

4. Game Night
For the non-movie-loving types, a night at home is a good time to bust out the old board games, the playing cards, or a customized scavenger hunt with clues left all over the house. And, for those competitive couples – loser makes dinner.

5. Make a Bucket List
Be dreamers together and find out what your significant other has always wanted to do and then make a plan to do it. It might be a big trip or just learning something new – either way it’s a great way to get to know the person you love even more.
